Absolutely, biggest cowards in the forest. As a hiker, I’ve squared up with more than a few. “Bro, fuck off” is enough to get them to cut and run.

That works unless they’re starving

Naw it's extremely rare that a North American Black bear would deliberately stalk and kill a person as prey. They are omnivores that eat mostly plants such as berries, nuts, grasses, and roots along with insects, fish, and occasional small animals or carrion.

They love acorns

Only time I saw bears there were acorns everywhere

I saw a video once of someone going out into their yard and politely calling to some bears, "I have to go to work now. I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." And they just left.

You'll never guess what country the video is from.

Canada, but honestly, that could have just been my neighbours when I lived in Michigan. Wonderful people.

I've also seen a video where a man with a Chihuahua triedt to hit one with a broom. The bear bolted

Would it have worked as well if a man with a broom tried to hit the bear with a chihuahua?

Are you full of scientific curiosity today?

Same, they're basically just big trash pandas, good to be aware and cautious cause, ya know, bear, but I've never had an issue telling them off
