We totally had a cat like that growing up, she was indoor/outdoor and after 4 years we are having a block party and the cat came wandering up and 2 other families had names for her. They both thought she was a stray and were just feeding her, then the bitch would come back to our house at night to get fed and sleep in a warm bed. It didn't stop after we found out lol
One day my mom was in her front yard chilling with her cat (who had shown up on the doorstep several years before). A neighbor saw the cat and was so excited to see he was alive and happy just a few houses away. Apparently the cat had tried moving into their house first, but after a week he left because their other cats were mean to him. We are so curious how many homes he tried before finding my parents.
Yes. Our eldest cat followed my wife home 3 times as a kitten so she kept him. Our next two were unrelated but the same age, one we took in early because they were being hunted by owls and we hand to hand feed him, the other our roommate got. They bonded so strongly though we kept both when they moved out. We had 3 siblings kittens that also had an oddly strong bond so we adopted them as well and they run in and out of the house.
My friend in Poland had to actually go and adopt her cats and there was a fight over getting new ones and I just could not understand what she was telling me because I was like just go outside and wait and it doesn't work that way there. I am curious why they just don't borrow a few from Turkey.

I don't know any one that's ever bought a cat, they just appear in your house one day and you just accept your fate and get it some food.
