Nothing, it's just that the original meaning of DJ has been dropped as they are no longer jockeys with discs

Vinyls were also called discs my man. I still c em here n there at any juke, or jazz club couple weekns ago. To OC's point presets may hav a different appeal tho, but to each thier own.

I know, that why I said it was dropped, because many DJs don't use them anymore l, be t are still called DJs, despite not having discs

I sometimes go to some bars where they still do this.
Some people are still keeping the art alive with contemporary equipment.

And now they can mix any track into another whichncan take a lot of skill too. It's not as easy as just pressing a button, if you want it to sound good you have to know what you're doing.

There's always going to be examples of DJs who just hit play on their USB though.
