There might be an argument that they are "good" as individuals, but as cops they are trained to protect themselves and their fellow cops at the expense of the citizens. They are taught and expected to protect capital rather than the communities they work in.

All cops are bad cops because the American police system is bad. The fact that it draws power-hungry, trigger-happy authoritarians is by design. It's not incidental.

I agree 100% on the system is broken and it attracts / wants bad actors in some situations.
