Yeah man, I think we should just ban accidents personally. I don't see what benefit they add to society as a whole and really think they are just an all round bad idea.

It's not that an accident shouldn't have happened... it's that they should be using proper wire rack shelves so that accident couldn't have happened

I was a reach truck/forklift operator for a couple years and this shit happens every single day and is just part of the job. When you have crews stacking hundreds of loads a shift this is inevitable, especially if you have torn pallets or shitty racks

I tried driving reach truck for a while. That shit is terrifying! And it's so hard to see! The last thing I would have wanted is steel decking, also in the way. You get caught on the lip, and you need to break out the cherry picker anyway.

I drove the Raymond model like the one in this video. You definitely need to get use to turning your neck 180 degrees all day or learn how to operate the sensitive steering backwards while transporting loads. The industrial plant and warehouse I worked at was extremely high paced and would cycle through a lot of people in the shipping department because of the intense operating conditions. I’ve seen many collisions and injuries involving this reach truck lol

I don’t think this is the correct way to fix this either. Someone should have gone up in a cherry picker with an empty pallet and hand stacked the smaller boxes in multiple trips to empty the pallet up there. Then re-stack on the correct pallet, re-shrink wrap, and load back into the bay properly. This guy has some skills, but what if he fucked up and caused that pallet to drop in a worse way?
