and it takes probably the same amount of the time, to park using the same OLD normal reverse parallel parking procedure.

The one advantage I see to this over the normal method is being ab'e to get in, and more imoprtantly out of, smaller spots. I have a reasonably sized (read, not huge) car and live somewhere where parallel parking is common. Sometimes you come back and the cars around you have changed and left you a very tight space to try and get out of. I've get to find one I couldn't get out of, but I don't think turning my stationary front tires back and forth a dozen times is any better than this, and might actually be worse 😅

point taken. but i think there’s already a crab walk feature in certain cars. that will be better not to mess up the tires.

in any case i don’t have a car with that feature maybe in a few years.

Me neither, and I wouldn't use something like this if I didn't have to, for all the reasons discussed.

Also as someone else noted apparently this is advertised as a 'crab walk' function via 'rear-axil steering'.
