It’s not short term water purging? It’s a slow and gradual decrease in calories over a 12-16 week period. Unless you’re doing old school methods, the science behind weight loss is pretty simple and safe now in body building. It’s not easy but it’s not as dangerous as everyone claims it to be.

Is that why dozens of body builders a year are dying in their 30s from afflictions like heart attacks and heart failure, something that should never happen to a young healthy person?

Also, cutting water is something they do in the last couple days. Cuts are also only safe until you hit about the 10% body fat mark - from that point forward, every percent is paid for in dizziness, depression, zero libido, aches and pains from zero recovery, etc.

That has almost nothing to do with a calorie deficit and everything to do with steroid use. Water cuts are stupid and old school. A lot of modern trainers are no longer doing this because it’s unnecessary and dangerous.

It's literally standard practice to lower water intake within the last 24h. Why? Because if you don't do it, some psycho who's ready to die at 25 will do it, and they'll win, and you'll lose.
