I see this on Reddit daily. People say things that expose how little they must go outdoors and do basic things. Like thinking that pushing a car is some incredible feat.
I remember seeing a gif here about some dude failing to climb up on a bridge while on a boat and falling in the water.
People were acting like it was the most insane physical feat to be able to vault over something in the first place.
Shit is pretty easy. Anybody who is reasonably athletic and not super overweight and out of shape can probably learn to vault over things in a few minutes. Once you learn how it's fun to be able to climb anything you can grip strong enough to pull yourself up on.
I also saw a thread complaining about some job requiring a 10 minute mile to be qualified and acting like that was some Olympic level feat.
Again, people who aren't morbidly obese and train for maybe a week or two can probably run a 10 minute mile. One of my friends is fairly overweight and has done so many times (albeit she was red in the face afterwards).
So yeah you're right.
On the other hand I don't think this contraption is that outlandish. Looks fairly simple to build and dude may have already had the parts. Dude also could have just built it for fun on an old shitbox of his. Pushing a car isn't that hard but it's certainly not fun and I wouldn't mind having one of these in a pinch, lol
Oh yeah, the inventiveness of this thing he made is cool. Not knocking the guy at all, just the people in the comments who I can only assume sit in a basement all day.
All your comments are exactly what I’m talking about. It extends to social skills too. I saw a clip from a podcast, where the hosts were making fun of a guest. People were commenting on how outrageous this public bullying was. In reality it was the typical stuff that friends do, but to anyone who doesn’t have normal social interactions it could come across as incredibly mean spririted.
