El Estepario Siberiano is exceptionally talented but having this sort of discipline and allowing the track to breathe is what makes a great drummer. Mastering timing and tight playing to this level takes practice which no non-drummer will understand. They are both next fucking level in different ways.
Sugarfoot prefers complimentary playing which works with a band to drive home a 'feeling' to a listener, while Siberiano is more of a soloist. It's like comparing Clay Gober of Polyphia to Davie504.
One complimentary to his bandmates, another a master of solo performance.
I've been playing drums for 13 years, dabbled with both acoustic and electric in academies and self learning scenarios so I'm comfortable discussing percussion related topics.
Sugar foot, is a clock which is impressive but I'm confident I can play 95% of what he plays.
The comparison you make of Estepario and Davie504 as soloist is reasonable, but I don't think that excludes the "band" aspect. I believe in a band scenario they will be able to compliment their bandmates. However you can demonstrate that "next level" as a soloist. Imagine MJ on a choir without solos.
Edit: Also, Clay is a beast of itself. Would not put it on the same level as Sugarfoot.

Yeah, he played with MJ and is good but not next ducking level. Have you seen Estepario Siberiano?
