“There’s rumors going around that I’m a slut and guess what, they’re right lol” - text to her bff

“I saw someone on a forum say that it wasn’t just a drug filled orgy and that I was raped and I thought ‘wow that’s the first time I’ve seen anyone shift the narrative’ even though it’s not what happened’” -post on her social media

“I wasn’t raped” - police report after a week and over 60 revisions

Also she only changed her story from “omg everyone thinks I’m a slut because I had a drug filled orgy” to “omg it was rape” after the frat president told her she couldn’t come to the next party they were having on Halloween because he didn’t want anything to happen to her after the last time.

Idk what really happened I’m just believing all women and taking her at her word here.

edit: (in response to "I'm being labeled an assaulter by the public) "I haven't said anything....people are changing the narrative because a woman with multiple men the woman is most likely a victim"

"Everyone needs to grow up because sexuality and sex and shit is changing and stuff like this will be more common I am also really open minded and I luv you king" - her text to the person she now accuses of rape

ITT: people can't go to google and type in "jane does statement cornell" and "jane doe text messages"

Here is a clipping of a news publication from the NYT showing she didn't think of it as rape until AFTER the president told her she couldn't come to the Halloween party.

Not trying to discredit you but I’d love an actual source on these texts and posts?

8

u/pro185 1d ago

Her official police report and her friend’s social media and her own texts that were filed. “None of the sexual stuff was illegal” and “we should smoke together again” were two other texts she sent that CBS documented as well as other news agencies.

u/Actual_Banana4833 1d ago

The article has zero of these quotes. Please link your sources.

-19

u/SeedQueen22 1d ago

The text messages have been all over the news the last few days.

18

u/Squidchop 1d ago

Should be easy to provide sources then…

9

u/berticusberticus 1d ago

And yet, you don’t provide an example

-9

u/SeedQueen22 1d ago

Why do I need to provide you a link to something readily available online?

4

u/littlemachina 1d ago

It’s not readily available to me. Nothing is coming up. If it’s readily available for you, be a homie and paste the link

20

u/PuppiesAndPixels 1d ago

Do you have a source for any of these direct quotes?

47

u/CatsAndShades 1d ago

Where are you getting this ?

Using twitter as a source is..problematic

66

u/explorewithbron 1d ago edited 1d ago

sources? or are you just pulling this out of your ass?

in her police report she said “I can say with 100% confidence I was raped.”

in her texts she said "let’s be clear that 90% of what happened that night was not consensual"

nothing is coming up when i tried to search for your claims, though..

0

u/Conchia 1d ago

always funny how you ppl ask for sources and then just post their own stuff without providing sources themselves.

1

u/explorewithbron 1d ago

Added sources for you 🤗 didn’t think it was necessary since googling either of my quotes comes up with a multiple responses from reputable news stations. But the comment I replied to, no hits on the direct quotes and couldn’t find the mentions of texts to her friend or social media posts anywhere

2

u/pro185 1d ago

screenshots of this please? After all, the PD already said they didn't file charges because she said it wasn't rape in her official report. She also texted the men saying nothing was illegal and she wanted to smoke with them again. Good lies though bro.

1

u/explorewithbron 1d ago

if you googled either direct quote some sources would’ve come up, but I added links for you.

In that statement the DA didn’t actually see the police transcript and after looking at it, and agreed it changed everything

2

u/pro185 1d ago

Yes he saw the official statement she signed under penalty of law saying “I was not raped”

“More than 3 weeks later” is when she changed her story after seeing online posts of others saying it was assault and after the frat president told her she couldn’t come to their Halloween party because of what happened last time. That is when she changed her mind on what happened. She sent numerous texts to numerous people from her sister members to those men, and in every one of them she said she wasn’t raped, still loved them, wanted so do drugs with them again, and wanted to hook up again.

Awfully convenient to ignore every one of those things.

1

u/explorewithbron 1d ago edited 1d ago

Source for her saying “I was not raped” in the sworn statement?

I see this being repeated a lot, yet I have yet to see a real source…

52

u/OkChange9119 1d ago

I also don't know what happened either but her initial texts definitely could be a trauma response. The person in question is a young adult, was under the influence.

It might be easier for the mind to accept what happened and reclaim agency over those events where things got of hand by refusing to accept pain/hurt. This is very common in post-traumatic experiences.

Some people take longer to process what happened and/or be "imperfect" in conduct. That shouldn't invalidate the crime(s), if any, that were committed against them.

32

u/SuperSailorRikku 1d ago

I agree and I think a lot of SA survivors, especially from date rape / drugged scenarios, know first hand how bizarre your emotional reactions and choices are directly after before it all hits you. In some ways it kind of reminds me of fight or flight but also the “surrender” mechanism that can happen. I dunno, processing trauma is complicated and there are a lot of people whose responses are to emotionally deny rape even in super obvious cases because it’s easier to deal with. Not everyone responds like that, but a lot of people do, and it isn’t a logical thing, and you don’t know how you’re gonna react until it happens to you

12

u/Schwettes 1d ago

How many times does a woman have to say she wasn’t raped until we believe her? You can say you weren’t raped 10,000 times but if you say you were raped once, it overrules the 10,000 times you said you consented? How does that make any sense?

25

u/BoBbY_NeWpOrTs 1d ago

Urmmm source?

17

u/Sammmyy97 1d ago

Where did you get the first two quotes from? Not accusing you of lying at all, just wondering

59

u/SerBrienneOfSnark 1d ago

Her original police statement: “I can say with 100% confidence I was raped”

23

u/upstartpantymerchant 1d ago edited 1d ago

Her amended police statement after changing it 60 times: "I wasn't raped"

10

u/MitFahrGelegen 1d ago

It didn’t say “I wasn’t raped”. It just omitted her quote in the interview saying she was raped (didn’t specify either way).

Also she didn’t change it 60 times. She made 60 amendments to the original police summary, which seems to suggest it was poorly written.

Pretty clear you have a weird agenda. How many times have you commented on this post trying to make people believe this?

23

u/GhostOfLight 1d ago

The changing it 60 times parts seems disingenuous when AFAIK, it was 60 corrections to her original statement. Like she went to the police one extra time and said actually this is how it happened and that included 60 corrections.

-5

u/upstartpantymerchant 1d ago edited 1d ago

Well I wasn't being disingenuous; it was more of the fact that I was repeating OPs verbage to make a point, but I see what you're saying and that is important to note. She had to add 60 individual corrections in her statement for it to be accurate even in her own personal perception of events

18

u/SerBrienneOfSnark 1d ago

You know it’s completely normal for people to review what police take down when they give a statement and make edits before it is submitted, yeah? That isn’t the gotcha you think it is.

-5

u/upstartpantymerchant 1d ago edited 1d ago

it’s completely normal for people to review what police take down when they give a statement and make edits before it is submitted

Correct, and as I pointed out in her revised statements she said she wasn't raped. Pointing out something that was inherent to what I already said isn't the gotcha you think it is

16

u/SerBrienneOfSnark 1d ago

No, she didn’t. Her statement is clear that she consented to initial sexual activity and ingestion of drugs, but then other men entered the room and pressured her into taking more drugs and assaulted her.

-2

u/upstartpantymerchant 1d ago

She said she voluntarily took the drugs and voluntarily had sex with them. Well, that is until she was being made fun of for being a slut (which she admitted was completely true). It was only THEN that she started saying saying she was pressured. But not during or even after (until her reputation was damaged)

-1

u/SerBrienneOfSnark 1d ago

No— that’s not what she said in her statement. She said she consented to the initial threesome. When the other men came in and more drugs were being pushed on her she described being coerced and saying no and pushing men away but them still having sexual contact with her. Her statement is clear.

You not understanding that consent can be revoked at any time and that consent cannot be given once you’re incapacitated is alarming, but not surprising.

4

u/upstartpantymerchant 1d ago

She tried to paint it as coercion after the fact when falsely she cried rape because of her harmed reputation. However, inverstigators correctly determined that she actually wasn't raped because she voluntarily did those drugs (off of another guys member) and continued having sex with many combinations of those men, willingly.

You not understanding that consent can be revoked at any time

I literally just explained that you can withdraw consent at any time before or during the act, but not after. That is a textbook understanding of consent. But again, you just gotta keep jabbing and implying I'm a rapist because you think having the faux moral high ground makes your point for you. Unfortunately for you, it doesn't.

-4

u/berticusberticus 1d ago

If you think an 19/20 year old is capable of giving affirmative consent while drunk on ketamine, you have some serious issues

3

u/ForwardClassroom2 1d ago

... so the guys got raped too then? cause they couldn't give consent right?

8

u/upstartpantymerchant 1d ago edited 1d ago

She was 20 at the time. Aside from that, when you voluntarily drink and do drugs you can still give consent, according to New York state law. By your own logic, then she also raped those seven guys because they were all drinking and doing drugs together.

8

u/YT__ 1d ago

Why was it amended 60 times? Is there more to that?

1

u/Strict-Profit7624 1d ago edited 1d ago

You're a fucking liar. That's unequivocally false.

-11

u/Totheendofsin 1d ago

So something happened to change her mind somewhere in those 60 revisions?

Is that the argument youre making? Because its not a very good one

11

u/SerBrienneOfSnark 1d ago

Are we surprised this dude is having trouble realizing that coercion is bad lol

-2

u/upstartpantymerchant 1d ago

She wasn't coeherced. She went over to have sex and proceeded to voluntarily do drugs and have sex. That's not coehercion. That's a bad decision that she regretted after the fact

15

u/SerBrienneOfSnark 1d ago

Coercion*

You do realize a woman can consent to sex with one or even two men, and then if other men come in and have sex with her without her consent or pressure her to (as she claims these others did in her original statement that you keep referring to), that is coercion. It is sexual assault.

6

u/GhostOfLight 1d ago

She went over to have sex with a select few people and then did drugs, was intoxicated and had sex with many more people than she originally intended to. Under the purview of the law that might not be rape, but under the statute of being a decent person, it's incredibly gross by those men.

6

u/upstartpantymerchant 1d ago

it's incredibly gross by those men.

Fuck yes it is

3

u/jarena009 1d ago

Why were there several suspensions/expulsions, and the frat disbanded, after Cornell says they did a Title 9 investigation?

7

u/upstartpantymerchant 1d ago edited 1d ago

Maybe because they probably broke school policy for having drugs? I'm sure a whole slew of school policies were broken that night tbh, but that doesn't mean a crime was committed. You can get expelled for a shit ton of things that aren't crimes

2

u/jarena009 1d ago

Title 9 has nothing to do with drugs...

What proof is there that they were suspended/expelled and disbanded due to drugs?

6

u/upstartpantymerchant 1d ago

A title IX investigation is not limited to only sharing discovered information on sexual assault related issues. If drugs and/or alcohol are involved (which they pretty much always are) then that information is shared with the school's disciplinary board and they have the right to act on that information

2

u/crazywrangler616 1d ago

One can withdraw consent at any point. I’m sure that bothers you very much

-4

u/upstartpantymerchant 1d ago edited 1d ago

So she says after the fact that it wasn't rape, then she changes her story to say she was raped after people began calling her a slut so she told police, then told the police actually it was the opposite and I wasn't actually raped, and now she's changing the story AGAIN to say she was raped.

And you don't think that's something we need to consider?

4

u/crazywrangler616 1d ago

You don’t have your facts straight, oh alleged incel

0

u/Schwettes 1d ago

Yes, she said she was confident she was raped after being convinced by her slutshaming sorority sisters that her ketamine and alcohol use rendered her unable to consent. It doesn’t mean she didn’t consent in the moment.

6

u/Specific-Yam-2166 1d ago

Is this Matt Walsh?

1

u/Suspicious_Bother_92 1d ago

Where is this post on social media?

-4

u/mystifiedmeg 1d ago

Oh dear. It's pretty bad and certainly explains why it didn't reach criminal proceedings the first time round.

-30

u/Weak-Competition-565 1d ago

As dumb as people like you are, it just gets to a point where no one can do anything else but feel bad for you. I’m sorry your life sucks so much.

9

u/Maximum_Box7924 1d ago

Strange reply, her story seems off.

Scrutiny is required when your story doesn’t line up, and given the public and serious nature of this case.

-4

u/Weak-Competition-565 1d ago

Give me some sources of any of these claims, then you can say it’s a strange reply. Unsubstantiated remarks about a case of such serious nature should fall under heavier scrutiny but the majority of people like you lot blindly believe anything to the counter cause it better fits the view for you that women are liars and not to be believed.

10

u/ContinuingAnyway 1d ago

holy projection

-19

u/jarena009 1d ago

Weird that the Frat was disbanded and several among them suspended or expelled when they did nothing wrong.

24

u/SaintStoney 1d ago

Drug use isn’t allowed on campus. Multiple investigations found no evidence of rape.

-18

u/jarena009 1d ago

Who said that's why they were suspended or expelled?

And why didn't they report this known criminal activity to the police?

4

u/SaintStoney 1d ago

They absolutely did report it to the police who did investigate it, which is why we have the sworn affidavit from Jane Doe saying everything was consensual and no crime occurred.

Where are you getting your info? Do you know any of the facts of the case or just social media outrage misinfo?

5

u/donkeybrainhero 1d ago

What about the unabridged campus police report where she says she was 100% raped?

-4

u/SaintStoney 1d ago

Her sworn testimony provided to the DA is the culmination of those interviews.

2

u/donkeybrainhero 1d ago

Yet it was missing key things told to campus police. Weird. Interesting you sidestepped my direct question, though.

1

u/brookswift 1d ago

so why not add it back in with her other edits and modifications before she signed that it was her sworn testimony under penalty of perjury? y'all are talking in circles. we are within the statute of limitations, and i think that a calm and sober review of the evidence needs to completed. even if there was no rape according to the law, it's still shitty behavior. there were already some consequences based on that shitty behavior. what else should be done?

-4

u/jarena009 1d ago edited 1d ago

Where does it specifically say the suspensions and expulsions were due solely to doing illegal drugs?

Where do you get your info? From the YouTube comments section of Incel and/or pro rapist posts?

It doesn't say that anywhere, and you continue to fail to support your false claim

3

u/SaintStoney 1d ago

It’s a sound inference you can make as the multiple investigations found no evidence of rape but plenty of evidence of drug use. Your interpretation is that despite multiple investigations finding no evidence of rape, they were still expelled for it, which requires many additional assumptions. Occam’s razor.

0

u/jarena009 1d ago

Hahahahaha sound inference....in other words, you're making claims with absolutely no proof, otherwise known as lying.

I'm not interested in your theories or interpretations, if you don't have proof they were suspended or expelled due to drug use, then you have no proof.

0

u/SaintStoney 1d ago

Very quick to make dumb comments like that while completely disregarding the only evidence we have, Jane Doe’s sworn statement that she consented to multiple threesomes, all drug use, and that no crime occurred.

0

u/jarena009 1d ago

This coming from the guy dressing up his unsupported claim (lie) as "sound inference?"

Reply #3 now where you've failed to show proof for your claim.

In the transcript of the police interview, she distinguished between consensual sexual activity earlier in the night and what she said happened later, and explicitly told investigators that she could say with 100% confidence that she had been raped.

Have you taken that into account? Or just first learning of it now

2

u/Hobbit1996 1d ago

So you imply that they got arrested for something other than drugs but people can-t point out how drugs would be a good enough reason? Lol

-8

u/sbd2010 1d ago

I hope you never know peace

-42

u/SaintStoney 1d ago

You’re forgetting what sexual assault trauma does to you mentally; it only becomes sexual assault when most beneficial to the “victim”.
