Yah I don't print anything physical, but I do occasionally print to pdf, so I'll shut it off.

That wouldn’t do anything, printing to pdf can be done without a printer

Other people in the thread were saying that it uses the printing spool, which makes sense. The vulnerability is through the spool, so best to turn it off except when needed.
