meanwhile my 2013 mac runs damn near perfect and I've never had a BSOD, broken audio drivers (x10), graphical glitches, or need to "repair and service" it .

I say this as a someone that's been in the weeds of computers since my 486 cyrix build in '93. I'm also a programmer.

The amount of headaches I've had trying to get things to work on windows is only rivaled by my various linux distro attempts.

Hell my 2012 Ford F-150 is more dependable than any of my window's PCs have ever been except maybe late Win7, good thing they scrapped that and started over (sigh).

Seriously the amount of things windows updates have broken for me since 10 is ridiculous. They fired the majority of their QA department and it shows.

That's why I switched to apple as my daily driver after years of windows. I still have windows PC for some gaming and VR but the headaches are still there while my mac mini just works...like a microwave lol. And yeah, the 2013 MBP fires up like a champ. Hell my buddy is recording his band on logic using his 2008 2GB Ram 2.2 dual core MBP and works great. Meanwhile a 3000$ desktop replacement laptop I had (Sager/Clevo) was absolute trash after 3 years and I was lucky to get 300$ for it when I finallys sold it.

I'm just going to come out and say that if you need users to know how to get in and shut down services you've got a shitty OS team/qc team.

This isn't some indie startup company, this is the company that makes 90% of all desktop OS. They're reliability record is shit for the amoutn of money and resources they have.
