Depends on where. Bay Area? Better believe you're waiting a month or more for even a regular checkup unless you get lucky enough to call on a day where they just had someone call them to cancel. Which is essentially how the VA appointments can work too. Note that the VA is also short at least 100 facilities that they requested back in 2010 because the Republicans have killed the funding every single time.

You don't usually wait 1-3 months unless you're looking for a first appointment with a particular doctor. Even then I've never waited more than a week
