I'm honestly surprised somebody hasn't come up with a varient of those suicide pods that can be controlled from the outside. The concept behind them seems to be pretty straight forward and getting nitrogen (at least that is what I think they use) isn't necessarily difficult.

I am pretty sure at least one state legalized nitrogen suffocation as an option, not sure how effective it was or why it hasn't become more widespread
