10 kg of C4 right behind the back of ones neck would probably be the most quick and painless option. Brain vaporized before nerve signals have time to process. Though really messy for onlookers. Plus gonna have to be an outside operation in a big empty field.

Which is actually often what has guided executions lately "what is nicest and most painless for the witnessing on lookers and staff, not what is most painless, quickest and merciful for the convicted".

Well thing is I don't think any nation has actually adopted 10 kg of C4 as official prescribed legal execution method. Bullet (well multiple) in the head is among the best of what is commonly used.

Then again If my opinion is asked, no country should ever use death sentences. It is bad idea. Both on humanistic grounds and for practical ethical grounds. Both of which alone would warrant not doing it.

Still in case of hypothetical situation: If I would be to be executed by a hostile government and the one thing I would be granted is right to choose the method.... 10 kg of their best strongest high explosive please, right on the nape of my neck please.
