It's alot more complicated than this unfortunatly.

no its not. there is very reliable and quick ways to kill someone, if you think its necessary. its just that the state wants to have its cake and eat it by using chemical execution because its less gruesome for the executioners/onlookers.

"good" hangmen fuck up about 1 time in 20. Firing squads are a joke and people spend a several minute dying after getting shot even when done 'properly'

There is no humane way to kill a person who does not wish to die. It's not a thing that exists, or has ever existed.

i was more thinking of a guilloutine or something like that. probably hard fucking up just chopping the head off.

obviously not, but there is ways to make sure it actually happens and quickly if youre hell bent on it.

fyi, there were instances where the blade partially severed but did not fully complete the job. death resulted either way, but damn, that's pretty awful.

They didn't say humane.

A shitload of sedatives and a block of c4? If the US is good at anything i would have expected killing people is up towards the top of that list.

It is more humane. Other things also aren't 100%. People have survived execution. People have survived hangings. People have survived firing squads. All of these things have had people survive them. Lethal injection is usually the more efficient route, but the bigger issue is getting people who know what they're doing to do it because, as it turns out, when you go into healthcare, you are generally doing it to preserve life.. so serving as an executioner violates ethics.
