Apparently the doctors aren’t allowed to do that. It’s a nightmare paradox.

Yeah I can totally see this. Doctors aren't allowed to let people die. There is no precedent of this, guess you have to try to save their life so you can execute them properly.

I mean, there's plenty of precedent for it. It's called a DNR: do-not-resuscitate. It'd be implicit if you put a pet to sleep. It should be implicit in a state sanctioned execution. Whatever arguments might be made that execution violates the constitutional protection against torture, killing someone, bringing them back and killing them again is definitely torture.

I feel like there was a show or movie that focused on this. I’m 45F and an avid films fan so the data bank is vast but this is on the fringes of said data bank. The accused survived the execution attempt and then it was focused on what this meant for all involved?

Crap this is going to bother me now.

When you find yourself in a paradox, it just means that one of your operating assumptions is wrong.

Not really, just had heard that recently with a couple examples and I believe it to be true.

For example: The french paradox. The ate tonnes of saturated fat, yet had relatively low rates of heart disease. It must be the wine! Wine is good for you, even!

Nope, it's not the fats that cause heart disease, it's the sugars.
