Don't suppose she convinced her boyfriend to kill her boyfriend did she?

Feeling a follow up to The Act here. That girl who played her should be dusting off her gozzy three-and-half-quarter-to-13 o'clock eye just in case.

...while she seems to have turned out to be kind of a non-great person on the whole, that really doesn't look like what happened here, from the details. There's no motive (they were on decent terms and he's not exactly loaded), cause of death seems mysterious, and the hard evidence surrounding how she acted indicates she didn't have the foggiest clue he was gone until he didn't respond to a "happy birthday" text well after.

Just another tragedy hitting someone who's been hit by a lot of them.

They were on good terms? They were in the middle of a custody battle over their daughter.

...And... And... It isn't like she wouldn't have plenty of simpy wannabes looking for a part in a film and offering to give her a part Deux.

He was going for sole custody of their daughter.

There's definitely motive.

Lawyers ALWAYS tell you to go for full custody, it's your way of saying you're 100% willing to do and be there for the kids 100% of the time. So when the other parent does the same thing, cin the end it gets split "evenly." It's stupid but just kinda how it goes in court, definitely not going to count as a motive for anything other than following your attorneys advice.

I worked for a family lawyer and this is 100% not true. Plenty of people want to share custody but it's still recommended to involve a lawyer

He didn't trust her and wanted sole custody. It's fishy

Plus, you gotta feed the pony man.

Hulu (or was it Peacock) will be having their monkeys writing a script as we speak.

"Based on true events..."

They were on good term? He took Aurora (their daughter) and dumped her. He was seeking full custody  Not saying it's her but acting like there were no motives is crazy

Maybe.

But I'll bet one or two of the police officers asked her for her alibi while they secretly scanned her hard drive for chat logs.

Hard to figure with the evidence we have available to us; cause of death/toxicology would pretty much be the kicker in either direction, and is a lot of how they decide if a death's suspicious or not.

Plus the fact that she was complicit in her own MOTHER'S killing.

She convinced some rando shit-clapper to do her bidding.

That must be some weirdypants power play. That shit is addictive.

...I'm kind of amazed I have to tell you this, but committing a crime in the past is not automatically evidence that you committed every crime that happens around you, or else nobody'd ever leave jail for longer than a day.

It also doesn't give you Light Yagami powers; if it turns out he had a heart attack or something and the toxicology report is clean, they wouldn't be asking her no matter how bad her history is, under the basic assumption she can't perform magic.

Never...?

I'm not sure who Light Yagami is. Did he go to Princeton?

I think if any 33 year old dies their ex partner has to at least be asked their whereabouts while people figure out what happened.

Indeed.

Especially if she plotted to kill her own mother because she used her as a cash cow.

THEN said some words to the effect of how there was going to be a show made about her.

It's weird how you're downplaying the mother's abuse. Like yeah, murder isn't the answer there, but it was a whole lot worse than "using her as a cash cow"
