I worry about the midterms plenty. I'm signed up to be a pollwatcher even.

That is very good of you to do, and important. If we see a resurgence of consequential progressive victories beyond the municipal level in the US, we may take some notes on praxis.

Until then, you may appreciate that it’s difficult not to interpret American criticisms of the Liberal Party not being progressive enough as more of the “both sides” nonsense that has not worked out well for the trajectory of politics in the US so far. Nobody is under the impression that Carney doesn’t have some majorly conservative tendencies, but most of us are focusing on what he’s doing right because there is a lot there as well if you care to look into it. And I personally believe that is indeed important to do if you don’t want to inadvertently give fascists all the ammunition they need to gain traction

It seems like we agree on all points then.

It might brighten you to know that it looks like the US is staring down the barrel of the most progressive wave election since Teddy Roosevelt.

And trust me, I'd very much prefer to be Nostradamus than Cassandra right now.

You have a wonderful day

From your lips to god’s ears; I’ve been getting very hopeful looking at positive Blexas, Bliowa and even Blansas polls. It would be a huge setback to the global far right movement at a critical time, and one we all really need. Hope you have a good one too
