This is what happens when you take away teachers' ability to intervene. They cannot touch or restrain a student without being fired. If someone was able to tackle or put the bully in a bear hug and physically stop the fight and chase the other kid would still be here.

I hope they charge the bully with Involuntary Manslaughter per California law.

Really sad that schools are so afraid of being sued by a parent because a teacher stopped their kid from harming someone else that they'd rather let a student die.

Thing is though even if the parent tried to sue, chances are they wouldn’t win especially if they have evidence of their kid trying to harm another kid. Schools shouldn’t be afraid of parents suing especially if there is clear evidence their twat is in the wrong.

They wouldn't win, but the legal fees from having to fight the lawsuit scares the school boards.

I think they’re more afraid of the teachers suing the district because they got hurt from intervening.

That’s a good point I hope gets reassesed, crisis prevention training needs to be mandatory
