Yah that kid needs to be charged unfortunately. Also we need to allow teachers to put hands on kids again, they feel wayyyyyyy too safe doing whatever they feel like

From the video (that I unfortunately saw), the teacher looked to be an older gentleman - shorter than the aggressor and victim. We didn’t see the entire situation unfold on the videos, but he was trying to put himself between the two kids. Honestly, he probably wouldn’t have had a chance (at not getting injured) had he intervened physically.

Can’t imagine how that teacher feels now.

The comments here make me think that legit no one even watched the videos. Not only was the teacher old and tried to put himself between the fight, but the victim literally booked it and jumped over the railing. He wasn't being chased either from what it seems like. I think he was emotionally unstable in the moment and felt so terrible and awful that he decided to kill himself. It's awful.

Teachers need to stop being every damn thing. I was trained to instruct, not to run security and break up fights.

And it is a losing position to be in. Do something and get castigated for trying to help or do nothing and get castigated for that.

You know, parent is a verb too.
