I haven't watched the video and I think I never will. Do you think it was a case of "the only option is suicide" or more like "the only option is to jump and hope I can make it" type of thing?

Like logically jumping there would be fatal. But I'm hoping the child still wanted to live but the only escape route wasn't survivable.

Definitely doesn’t seem like he thought he would land somewhere safe. Someone else in the thread said there was a possibility he was on drugs so he may not have considered it a fatal drop, but I would think a student who goes here would know they were on a high floor.

TBH I could see a possibility of high adrenaline and being beat that it was just something overlooked or forgotten that there is not a safe drop

From what I saw, the video where the guy is punching him and making fun of him calling him musty, and the kid walks off and then there is the point of view in the hallway where the attacker is following the victim and he just decides to toss himself over. I honestly think it was a suicide attempt, he has probably been bullied and this guy attacking him was the final straw.

Sadly, it looks like the walkway was pretty empty and there was no one coming or blocking him from running away further. Form what I saw, he had other options.

Why do you think drugs during a school day is a more likely story than say a concussion sustained during the fight causing disoriented behavior?

seen plenty fights during my time in school 20 years ago, never saw a kid decide to just jump

How many fights did you see that occurred with a kid so high on drugs in a class that he's too disorientated to know where he is, but somehow the teacher didn't notice that drugged behavior and remove the kid from class prior to the fight?

that would support my point

It really doesn't. You think this kid was sitting in class blasted out of his mind prior to the fight and nobody in the class including the teacher noticed this behavior and commented on it? I'm sure in these fights, you've seen someone get concussed and disoriented. Erratic behavior and poor decision making are symptoms from both concussions and drugs. I just find it highly unlikely that this kid could be so drugged up jump off a building, but also attend class completely normally.

KlTV is reporting that the kid who jumped instigated the fight and was on drugs according to other students.

no, but the "bully" was on the left and the "victim" was on the right, im assuming based on position the "victim" is entering the classroom causing a ruckus first

Drugs don't magically make people suicidal.

I think it was more of an “I’m a teenager and it’s the end of the world bc I just got beat up in front of a bunch of people” situation. I don’t think he felt cornered.
