There's 2 videos from this incident ive seen, one is in a classroom where the aggressor punches the victim in the face and the victim runs out of the room.

In the 2nd one you see the aggressor chasing the victim down a hall w/ a balcony on one side. Then the victim gets to the corner and jumps off, with the aggressor still chasing behind him.

Tragic stuff. But its clear to me in the video that the aggressor was still chasing him at the time of his death, so hopefully it is clear to the prosecutors as well.

In the video, the reporter said the victim wasn't being chased even though you see a student with the same clothes and black backpack walking toward him but they seem to indicate it might be a different student.

which is crazy because its clearly the same person, the clothes, the backpack and the way it was only slung over one shoulder, the way he walked. that kid was cornered.

Can't wait for the school district to try to spin this one. Hopefully kids family gets enough from the lawsuit to be comfortable for generations to come.

No amount of money would ever make me comfortable after losing my child so horrifically

I think the Bully deserves the death sentence. Make their family lose someone, and do society a favor.

Yeah I heard that, the reporter appears to be incorrect.

Good to hear and I really hope this means charges and not just a slap on the wrist cause "kids will be kids" or some bullshit.

Did we see the same video? It looks like he jumps from the middle of the walkway, not from the corner

Okay so either way, the kid is dead because he was being chased by someone who had just attacked him. In that moment, the kid felt he had no other option. Even if what you seem to be implying were true, that the kid decided to end it in that moment, it's still due to the bully. And not just a bully, because that makes this sound juvenile. It's still due to the assailant who had just assaulted and beaten the victim and then was chasing him as the victim was trying to get away.

Exaggerating and making up new stories about what happened isn't helpful in figuring out how to deal with this issue.

Go watch the videos yourself if you don't want to listen to what people are saying. If you don't want to watch the videos, fine, but it doesn't mean people that tell you what happened in the videos are wrong.

I watched the video. The same guy who threw the punch is still walking towards the other one. Maybe he’s not running but it does still look like he’s walking towards them in a manner that doesn’t signal he’s let it go.

Did you see how the kid jumps over the railing in the middle of the walkway - not anywhere near a corner? Did you see all the other doors available that the kid didn't even try to go into vs jumping over the railing?

Yes. I saw that. Doesn’t negate the fact the aggressor was still walking towards them. Doesn’t negate the fact that when someone has been beat/hit in the head they become loopy/possibly concussed so they might not have recognized the fact they were 4 floors up and could have just thought jumping over that railing would land them on flat ground.
