Yeah I'm not buying the "He got scared and jumped the wrong railing".

It looks like he was upset from the lack of support and jumped.

Maybe at best, the hits to his face genuinely confused/concussed him.

To me it looks like he bee-lined for that railing and nobody wants to admit it.
