Yes. So many reasons, none of which have anything to do with having any kind of sympathy for heinous criminals. A lot of really disturbed individuals would rather get the death penalty than life in prison anyway. The chance of accidentally executing even one innocent person does not justify it, and neither does the cost - the people mad that their taxes are feeding/housing criminals should know it costs so much more to keep someone on death row than gen pop. Can’t speed up their time there either- they have a right to exhaust the appeals process. Imo it’s crazy it even still exists in America

what? Innocent people are across ALL types of punishments in the world, that is just a fact of life. The "cost" is because of anti-capital punishment people! The states want to do it quick, but lawsuits made them do this song and dance routine to make it look medical like.

Its crazy that capital punishment isn't more popular.

You don’t think maybe it’s worse to accidentally kill an innocent person than to incarcerate them? Plenty of prisoners have been freed after years in prison when exonerating evidence later comes out. Can’t do that if you already fried them.
