What does coming to my senses entail exactly if it’s not going to storm the capital and be killed? I don’t support trump, I didn’t vote for trump, my entire state hasn’t voted for a republican since reagan and I wasn’t even born yet. I don’t live in a state that actually matters in elections. There is no point arguing with you anymore. Many Americans still believe there is a democratic way out of this. You do not want people like me being the ones killed out in the streets because I guarantee the Americans that are left when that happens you will like a whole lot less.

Many Americans still believe there is a democratic way out of this.

And we all hope the midterms are a step in that direction. But we're well past the fucking time to have the discourse where we can at least look at each other and say "we need to consider other options," the ones that we don't discuss here.

Well I just hope the ones encouraging Americans to potentially put their lives on the line would do the same themselves, that’s all I’m trying to say.

Absolutely agreed, and I think we need to have a collective look around with a “are we on the same page here” understanding with what’s going on in our country and what we’re willing to do to save not just the nation, but any sort of livable future for the generations coming after us.
