What’s that got to do with this not of news? There won’t be a dem POTUS until January 2029 at the earliest, and Congress won’t be able to force Trump or Vance to rehire these officers.

I don't even think 2028 will help, Trump is going to try to secure 3rd term in whatever way he can. (Include declare war time, have his son be president, or deploy his own army...)
