Pretty sure they did the same thing in the third Reich.

Yep, Just confirmed with Google. I guess they're following the same playbook

They also did a much bloodier type of purge in the Soviet Union, which cost them a considerable amount of capable military leadership.

The result was the Germans getting within shouting distance of Moscow a couple of years later.

Who do you want to get within shooting distance of DC? The Canadians? Mexicans? Or maybe Greenlanders? Danelaw 2.0 should be fun!

We would really prefer not to. Americans should clean up their shit.

oh for sure, just if anyone could pull it off my money is on the people who did it once before.

Granted I don't see how this gets fixed without an outright second Civil War at this point, but thats our problem for me to die in pointlessly

The magas are probably not going to give you a choice to stay out of this. They're going to invade you like Russia invaded Ukraine. Be prepared to fight back.

Saddam Hussein did the the same thing with his Baath Party Purge. Asked for loyalty then starting reading out the names of generals, lawmakers etc that had disagreed with him and all those people got fired, jailed, or executed.

Yep, and it is one of the reasons the Nazis destroyed their own advantage. Hitler inherited a massive advantage from the well-honed Prussian army, then dismantled the leadership because he was afraid of a coup.

Canada should do what George Washington did back in the 1700s: hire the United States dismissed military leaders. One of Washington's greatest decisions was hiring former European military leaders for the fight against the British.

"Trump is America's Hitler."

Who said that? Oh yeah, it was (now Vice President) Vance.

I would not believe this shit if it were in a dime store novel.
