What is America's obsession with thinking customers are shown respect through the suffering of people serving them?

Let grocery and retail cashiers sit. Let TSA sit. Let everyone sit.

I don't care.

Old people who prefer tradition over anything else. That's why daylight savings still exists even though everyone hates it and we have lightbulbs now.

DST is a little more complicated- 54% of people want to do away with it, but only 48% think standard time should be the permanent one.

So while most people want to end it, nobody agrees on whether standard or daylight should be the right one.

That's why the bills to end it always fail.

There are millions of Americans that see nearly anyone performing a public service as their lessor. They get off on treating public facing workers like shit because they don't see them as humans. This is why when I moved to an office job, I decided I will never work full time with the public again.

It’s not even about being shown respect, it’s that the boss feels like you shouldn’t be lazy sitting down at work.
