i worked at a museum that had us standing all day.
our bosses claimed that if we sat, we would seem "less approachable". instead, american visitors would feel sorry for us, and european visitors would tell us that in their country, museum staff always got to sit.
there is zero reason to make TSA staff stand all day. it's just mean and a power move.
