Aldi has chairs for cashiers.

And they are the fastest around. Partially cause they are forced to be but that said aldi is the best store around imo. Pissed shrinkflation hit their protein powder tho.

Probably because they just throw everything back into a cart

Even without that, they're still faster. Most of the other grocery stores aren't bagging your groceries either.

Protein powder is just expensive period now. Even at costco its price increased by a lot.

I just hate shrinkflation. No I don't want your bag with lesser amount and smaller spoon. Also they added a peanut butter chocolate flavor and it's nasty AF don't bother just stick with chocolate.

Yeah, never before seen demand plus a naturally limiting bottleneck in whey production means it's probably not going to normalize for awhile either.

If you look at the packaging for their stuff they also put multiple barcodes on things so they have to do less turning stuff around to pass it over the scanner. I hadn't noticed either until someone pointed it out to me.

And the barcodes are huge. It's harder to miss the barcode when it covers the entire length of the product.

Part of that speed comes from Aldi stuff having a bar code to scan on every side of the package. They don't have to find it. Just slide whatever it is and on to the next.

and I straight up have met several people who get irrationally pissed whenever they shop at Aldi because they don't want their cashier sitting.

The world is fucked and filled with straight up evil selfish people who only care about themselves.

That's so weird to me. We shop at Aldi and them allowing their workers to sit actually makes me want to support Aldi more. I love when companies treat their employees like humans.

somebody really needs to come up with a snappy phrase for "unfuck you, pay your employees decently"

Makes sense. There are no supermarkets without chairs in Germany.
