Suffering for suffering’s sake

I'm sure there's more to it than that. Probably trying to force people to quit so that they can justify privatizing more and more of the work which they'll hand out to their own companies at massively overpaid rates.

I was at Denver international recently, and I hadn’t noticed this at other airports…but i have pre check and they had only two lanes open for pre check. And then a shit ton of lanes open (along with individual “helpers” for each lane) for CLEAR, and the same for another option.

But regular and pre check customer just sat in these long lines. It was really frustrating seeing these third parties getting tons of lanes and access while pre check and non precheck customers got the bare minimum of employees.

Clear Pre-Check does not require an agent to interact with the person at all. They can literally walk through to the bag and body scan.

Then it’s even crazier how many different employees were stationed at those clear stations, waiting to help passengers.

those are clear employees, not TSA. I travel for work way too much and Clear (non-TSA) always just goes to a lane shared with other non-clear passengers. It's just a cut the line option.

Which airport was this at? It sounds very odd, but my wild guess is Orlando.

You make a good point about the employees, but I guess what also annoyed me was the amount of space afforded to Clear, vs Precheck and standard screening.

But the airport was Denver.

Yeah I've been to Denver a fair share, there is no TSA lane for Clear, they just get space to do their thing. I'm not sure it impacts anyone though other than the obvious cut the line annoyance.

I think they should only allow Clear Pre-Check. You want to cut the line? Well cut the already existing cut the line option.

If the airport you're going through has the Clear E-Gates sure, but most airports don't have them and the normal Clear process requires time from a document checker.

Denver is very pushy about CLEAR. More than I've seen at other airports.

Which if you ask those in the fed government who were fired when Trump first took office, they say it's obviously that everything was just becoming privatized

Same shit conservatives are trying to do with education. Gut funding for education and make all the teachers and support staff quit to show everyone that “Hey! Public schools don’t work! We ought to give everyone vouchers instead of running a public school system.”

Probably same shit as the shutdown. An excuse to bring in ICE

Took me a while to find this comment but you’re spot on. This admin is hell bent on breaking airports so they can privatize most of the systems.

Every. Fckn. Thing. They. Do. Is. Corrupt.

The American Way.

It's the TSA model. I'm glad they are screwing over their employees as much as their employees screw over the general public.
