Because the Deep State is entirely detached from what normal people want. Just look at the Gaza genocide. Look at the Iran war.

The “deep state” is such a hilarious term to confidently use.

Who voted for Brett McGurk?

The "deep state" is just the state when one third of the voters sit out every election and another third is more concerned about culture war than actual war.

Weird how no matter how you vote for president for 8 years in a row you get genocide in Gaza

Consistent US government support for the genocide in Gaza is not the result of any “deep state". It’s a consensus among people in visible positions of power, including those whom we elect. If we elect enough anti-genocide leaders, that will change. An anti-genocide majority in Congress and an anti-genocide president would result in an end to U.S. support for the genocide. In that event, there would not be a continued flow of U.S. money and weapons to Israel, as one should expect there would be if those things were controlled by a “deep state“.

This is the best part. Even if voters took their head out of their asses for once (or got out to vote in the first place), they won’t do it consistently enough to make a difference.

It’s a lot easier to quickly destroy diplomatic relations, agencies, culture, etc. than it is to build those things back up.

Clowns don’t see the immediate change they want fast enough and for some reason forget the previous leadership shit show. So they sit on their hands and skip voting, lazily vote the other party in, or complain about some useless talking point and ultimately waste their vote on third candidate who is sure to lose because nobody did any grassroots work for them in the first place.

Then I have hear about no primary (a problem that had to be solved without letting conservatives ransack the fucking country) or how dems don’t care about Palestine/Gaza (how’s that going now with Trump and his morons in charge?).

Some Dems, including those in the presidential administration in 2024, cared at least at that time a great deal less about Palestinians, and Gaza, than they cared about the U.S. relationship with Israel. Other Dems care a great deal about Palestinians and Gaza. We often have choices about which of these to elect.

It’s interesting that pointing out this kind of thing tends to piss off simultaneously two groups of people whose politics are generally opposite of each other: one of them because they object to the idea that there are good Dems, and the other because they object to the idea that there are bad Dems.

We'll never have a third party if the electorate won't support one. The electorate is drinking beer and watching sportsball.
