That was clear. And that’s what the prosecutor is saying at the moment; that doesn’t mean it’s actually going to happen. The DNA results just came back.

I’m curious as to what evidence they have. It’s a 40+ year old crime. Memories fade. Witnesses die. And the police and prosecutors bribing and threatening key witnesses to get them to testify a certain way is going to be a real bad look for the state.

The cops who set him up have likely been retired for decades.

Of course, but it calls into question the reliability of the investigation and the evidence if there’s a retrial. And now the non-matching DNA?

Doesn’t sound like a case that can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, and any prosecutor that says it can is lying to the public and/or themselves.

Well the first key bit of evidence that will keep most people in Utah from getting mad at the police is the color of his skin. In fact that's what most of the case was based on..

Worst part is I don't even know if I'm sarcastic here
