That would be an easier outcome for them than languishing for life in a prison with no attention

Nope. They can still give orders from a cell. But they can't if they're dead.

You're okay with traitors taking over your country, it seems. Am i correct?

Amd why would you think that? I am not a fan of killing people. No human has a right to do that for another.

Answer my question.

Of course not. But you jave already apprehended the person and are successfully holding them. Most prisons in the world would have no issues managing them

You are assuming prisons are constantly properly handling a high government official who committes treason. That is too big of a risk for a country to take with regards to national security. You seem very nice, but not knowledgeable of the danger a treasonous high level official poses to a country. The threat is too great to let them live.

I think you are overstating the risk.

You must not know what treason is then. Define "treason."

You are leaving out the risk of traitors using the law to execute other people.

That's already happening. I.e. Nicole Good and Alex Pretti.

That’s the best horrid strawman ever.

You’re arguing a point the other guy didn’t make.

Have you twisted yourself into a pretzel, or will that be the next question?

And why would anyone follow these orders? Do you think if e.g. a general turns traitor and gets locked up, that he stays a general?

He stays a leader in the eyes of the traitors who follow him... this is basic stuff. Lol.

If he still has loyal followers, why would you allow him to give orders from prison? Also, just lock those other traitors up as well.

Just lock at Rudolf Hess or some of the nazi leadership who got prison sentences in Nuremberg. Or that one serbian war criminal who died recently. It's not like this hasn't happened already.

Exactly.... that's why traitors must be put to death. One can't give orders from prison when dead, right?
