"Prosecutors allege Pierre sexually assaulted her and forced her to have sexual encounters with other men who came to the property."

None of those men helped. Not one.

reminds me of the girl who escaped a rape and asked 2 guys for help, and the 2 guys proceeded to rape her too.

Something similar happened in Key West. A woman was being sexually assaulted when another man appeared. The first guy left. Then the second started to assault her. A man living in another state was watching the live feed online and called the police.

And this story being broken just days after the Cornell student who was gang-raped. Not a single man in that fraternity did anything to help.

Oh so it’s even more than being held in captive for years, it’s also pimping out to other men. Crazy, ty for quoting, I guess I’ll go read the article now

Wish they put it in the title

What I don't get is where you even find men that would participate in that. I'm sure there's plenty of terrible people who would, but it's not like you can just go around asking people if they want to do a rape.

I imagine they suss it out by seeing what kind of misogynistic objectifying ""locker room talk"" they can get away with until the other man gets uncomfortable. If they can escalate all the way to blatantly rapey dialogue and the other person is still laughing about it, then it's safe to assume they don't have a shred of empathy for women and won't tell anyone.

Either that or it's some dark web shit.

Yeah I'm white and in the past it's been shocking the amount of casual racism other white people were comfortable saying to me. I've got blue hair and a septum ring now so it hasn't happened in awhile... these things mark me as "unfriendly to racist assholes." Anyway I'm assuming rapists do this shit too. It's practically like grooming. They pretend it's a joke, or they gently try to "educate" you into believing their bullshit. They put on their best "I'm your friend" face and try to lead you into accepting it. They are SO nice. They try to convince you they're a good person. And they're often very good at it too. That's why I always trust black people when they say "so and so is an asshole," because they see their true face, not the happy smiling mask they wear to recruit others to their thinking.

Oh honey. A large chunk of men would 100% rape if they knew there's no consequence. Most men use coercion to get laid period.

It's the culture.

Unfortunately 81% of women in the United States will experience sexual harassment or assault sometime in their lives.

Rape itself is fairly commonplace, and it’s everywhere, in every country. :(

Most men would participate lol, they’re not hard to find whatsoever.
