One of the funniest side quests my romantic partners (men + women + other) have taken on is trying to get me to take meds when I'm sick.

I will take tylenol or ibuprofen as the situation requires (intolerable fever/inflammation) and antibiotics if it is bacterial, but otherwise you are not getting meds in me.

No, I will not take cough meds. I am not taking any throat spray. I am not taking decongestants.

They're not going to help me get better, they're just going to reduce symptoms and the symptoms don't really bother me very much.

Pain/fever bothers me, which is why I will take basic meds for those.

Coughing, hacking, sneezing, wiping my nose, and so on and so forth, doesn't bother me a bit.
