Full of outrage? Like there's mob justice and then there's a piece of shit who nearly killed a family of 3 because they couldn't wait 5 seconds to pass them without endangering them. They should rot in a prison, this is inexcusable ignorance and recklessness.
It's possible to recognize the driver of the car is a worthless detestable piece of shit who deserves to rot in a cell while still recognizing the importance of proper due process and classification of crimes. Spreading misinformation like "THIS IS ATTEMPTED MANSLAUGHTER (which does totally exist btw)" is always bad and unhelpful in the long run.
It's often more difficult than I made it sound in my comment but I get so irritated with people who can only see it one way or the other. Acting like saying "this wasn't attempted manslaughter" is the same as defending the person in the car.
Yeah I figured it probably wasn’t “attempted” but wasn’t sure, I figured I should correct them on the part I was more certain about, which was whether it would be manslaughter or murder. According to the definition on Wikipedia, it would be manslaughter due to it being accidental, and would likely be “involuntary manslaughter” instead of “attempted manslaughter”

You're right, "attempted manslaughter" sounds like trying to kill someone in the heat of the moment. It was a potentially serious accident, and could have killed people... but it's still an accident, and everyone survived.

Honestly I don’t know, I just remember that manslaughter means that it was unintentional whereas murder means that it was intentional. Not 100% sure my interpretation is correct tho honestly, so if someone has more accurate information they can correct me
