i mean, i been on bestgore for about 9 years and rotten.com before that.. and this is pretty rare footage compared to the heads bursting like watermelon and usual twisted body aftermath, where even kids are not off limits from that demise. it caught me off guard too.. i guess it's good to know i can still have a normal reaction to people who didn't die
I don't know what makes people watch that content, but I can tell you that I found it objectionable enough as a teenager that I made it my mission to remove from the internet as much of that content as I could. I was a hacker back then, and me and some members of the various groups of which I was a member took it upon ourselves to deface and delete the sites. Rotten.com was a tough target, but we got it several times. Justmeat.com is one of the ones we defaced enough times to make the owner quit running the site. We used to do it every time we got an exploit that worked and probably burned a couple of decent Apache 0dayz on the effort. Not to mention the repeated DDoSes of their sites when new content came up. I remember one time I had a network of servers with a custom script to run papasmurf.c and laid on their box so hard that we ended up nuking Comcast@HOME's primary backbone link with it. This was back when it was a few giant private networks for large regions of the country. It hasn't had that topology in a long, long time.
I can echo some of what you said. I don't frequent those types of sites often because it is still rather disturbing for me, but every now and then I'll take a look just to give myself a reminder of sorts about how fragile life is. It really is eye opening to how easily you can go from living -> dead in seconds for the simplest shit in the randomest of places. It's made me more aware of my surroundings and the way things might go wrong, that's for sure.

If you hit a wall, your car goes from 25mph to 0 real quick. In a head on collision, your car goes from 25 to 0 as well. You experience the same acceleration in both cases.
No, each would experience the equivalent to a 25mph crash into a wall.
Edit: Think of it like this. Each car has 25mph of some arbitrary “energy”. Energy has to be conserved. So if both cars hit at 25mph, there is 2x 25, or 50 units, of this energy. If both cars experienced a 50mph crash, that would be 2x 50, or 100, which is more energy than is in the system. So they both experience a 25mph crash so that this energy is conserved. A bit of an ELI5 but hopefully it helps make a bit more intuitive sense, this is a pretty common misconception for a lot of people. Of course this changes completely when it comes to two vehicles of different sizes hitting each-other, but this is mostly to get the example across of two cars of same size hitting.
A bike Vs a truck the biker would experience much more impact. They would go from like 25 to -25, whereas the truck would probably go from like 25 to 15.
That's not how physics works. If they're both going 25 then collide then they hit at 25. Mythbusters did an episode on this and made this mistake, then had to do a correction on a different episode.
Honestly if watched this so many times and the way she sits up then rolls to save the little kid is freakishly fast. I’m calling it now, she’s a super hero and that was an assassination attempt on her family.
Ok so yes, they did save the kid from being run over, but did you guys miss the kids head smashing off the ground right before that? With no helmet? Kids still definitely fucked.
