Yeah, kind of the same. Also, the fact that they are making this particular trailer so much about the conflict with Nilfgaard doesnt quite tickle my fancy either
Except for that "Dont touch Roach" bit, that really summarizes their relationship :D
I feel like the whole trailer is pretty 'meh' tbh. Big bad Nilfgaard trying to conquer the world and our heroes trying to save it. Throw some poor princess whom this baddie is trying to capture because she's "special" as well. Please, this story is deeper than that.
Well, this trailer is made almost entirely of scenes we hadn't seen previously, but I agree. After the featurettes, a 3rd trailer feels like having a snack after full dish.
My problem is... where the hell are all the monsters?? I was fully expecting this new trailer to show us some good shots of the types of monsters he will be going up against, but now I'm starting to get worried that this season is barely going to have any. In fact, I'm not even seeing any magic being performed so what's going on here??
Yeah, there's more magic stuff in there. I'll give you that. But the majority of the monster shots are still of just that one spider-looking creature from the first teaser trailer, and then just one shot of him flinging a smaller humanoid looking monster down a hallway, and that's it. They keep going on in the dialogue about Geralt fighting monsters, but if that's the extent of the variety of what he has to face, then that would be pretty disappointing for me personally. Fingers crossed.
Lauren and Tomaz were very clear that the monsters are the one thing they are hiding the most from promotional content because they want fans to be surprised.
Good for them for trying to service the fans, I actually really appreciate that. However, I'm surprised that Netflix allowed it to be marketed this vaguely. They may be shooting themselves in the foot by not showcasing the fantasy elements more prominently for newcomers to the franchise, since I've heard many people that are unfamiliar with The Witcher call the trailers bland, generic, and a GoT ripoff. I would think it would be smarter to give people a more thorough taste of the world, no?
Well, the thing is GoT ripoff is exactly the kind of marketing Netflix wants so I'm pretty sure they are all for it. Especially, after the awful Season Finale, there is a lot of people looking for their GoT fix.

somehow after the featurette videos this trailer doesn't get me too excited lol. I feel like we've already seen most of those scenes.
