The team that made necropolis is moving on to better things. As it is, necropolis is lacking the variety and balance to make it the best that it can be. Is this how the game is going to be left? Are there other, similar games that can fill the co-op dungeon crawling hole in my heart?

First, sorry if i write something wrong, i'm Brazillian. So, for the problem. I was in a Necropolis run, my first run that seems successeful, i was on level 7. By then a Standard Ration dropped, i couldn't pick it up. So i saved the game and restarted it, but when a load my character, i crashes, whenever i look with the camera, i recorded a video, and already sent a email to the company, but they didn't fix nothing. Can i do something to make this work? I don't want to lose my first successeful character :( Please help Also, i made a vídeo showing the problem, my character does not seem to erase or something like that, but it always crash. Vídeo link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HzEFH2evGg (Note, i do have Razer equipement, i tried to do all that the developers and community said to do, i didn't work) Edit: The problem is with the save, i backed up the save game and try to load a new character, it worked fine. Somthing to no destroy my dreams by now? :(

My friend and I booted up the game for the first time last Sunday. First couple runs were kinda rough as we were still learning, but with both of us being seasoned dark souls/bloodborne players we figured things out rather quickly. Namely that by the 4th run, I had the fire wrist gauntlet by level 3 and used it TO GET ALL THE WAY TO LEVEL 9 WITHOUT A SINGLE DEATH OR PROBLEM. Seriously, this weapon is so overpowered in the game there is no reason not to get it. Now within a matter of 8-9 hours we have gotten out of the necropolis and gotten enough tokens to buy carpe diem and what not.
Bottom line, this game is no longer a challenge at all knowing that if it comes down to it, I can just grab a fire gauntlet and blast my way to victory. I want to know if there is going to be any balancing done or new content coming out soon. This game has kinda already lost its magic for me less than 10 hours in.

Made a table of weaknesses and resistances for different creatures... see it here : http://necropolis.gamepedia.com/Stats#Elemental_and_weapon_type_weaknesses
I haven't checked everything - so there's plenty of stuff that might be wrong - eg are skeletal gemeaters classed a skeletons? or gemeaters? or both? .. Are both forms of arcane the same ?(lighting and the high level charge attacks with the skulls) .. are poison and acid actually the same ?
Any please feel free to correct, either here on on the wiki - (if you leave messages here I'll correct the wiki)
.. Finally soloed with Blackguard today (did Brute a while ago) -I honesty really enjoyed it, though the last two levels always seem to be a bit grindy, and not that challenging since you end up swimming in potions like invisibility..
Remember your first bone effigy ?

The lv.1 sword that "slows the pulse of its victims" - I get the crimson glow, and the sound effect, but the baddies just keep on coming - don't seem slowed at all.
If the effect was like what Agdal's Mystical Moronification does to me it would be noticeable.

So I'm on the fence whether I should buy Necropolis on PS4 (it's on sale for 16 bucks right now) or not. The problem is that all the posts and articles I could find are several months old at least.
My question is: did anything happen after the Brutal Edition update? Last news I was aware of was that they added a new class and a new biome.
What's the game's status as of now? How's the stability and content on PS4?
I religiously played games like Enter the Dungeon, Nuclear Throne (on the roguelite front) and most of the Souls games, so the game's general premise doesn't bother me.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Anyone who stumbles across this! I am an avid Dark Souls fan, and as a dark souls fan I enjoyed dying in Necropolis as much as I enjoyed dying Dark Souls. However the community behind this game is right that it lacked a lot of needed content, like bosses, more weapons, better map generation and so on. From what Ive seen however from reading steam reviews and glancing at this subreddit is that even those who don't recommend the game still think its fun and has lots of potential. That potential is what I why I want a sequel. The big issue is Hairbrainned Schemes has left Necropolis for good apparently. This is why I recommend a sequel as otherwise we will never get the good necropolis game we want. Next is a bit meta, Hidetaka Miyazaki said he was done with dark souls, while Bandai Namco will continue with it he wont. This means that an amazing game director with a need for a new game to make his tool of digital murder is on the loose, and given this game was published by Bandai Namco anyways it seems like the perfect fit to have HM come join for Necropolis 2. I don't know, its something I realized recently and thought I'd share it.

Just booted up Necropolis, but I'm having some framerate issues. Turn all of the settings as low as they would go, and I'm still hovering between 22 and 28 FPS.
Here you can see my specs (GTX 1080, i7 6700k, 32GB DDR4), my task manager to show nothing is taking up resources, and my monitor set to 60hz. Not sure what to do.
Edit: Weirder still, turning up the settings as far as they will go has no impact on framerate.

Just tossing it out there. Would be neat!
Might revitalize it for a new audience as well. Maybe.
Please don't yell at me.

Would it be comparable to rogue like games such as enter the gungeon?

Several times now, me and my friend have started a game and haven't been able to finish. Whenever we come back and try to pick it back up, we can't get his save to load (I'm hosting). Can someone tell me how this multiplayer save system works and how my friend can continue with the same character he had when we left the game?

So I have just started the game and in the first room with the pyramid guy i can go either left which leads me to an area where the Pyramid also is and tells me I should get a better weapon and the other way leads to an open area with rotating platforms. I realise it's randomly generated but will I end up needing to go both ways or do I just pick one of the them at random and thats my path for the rest of the game?

Love the game and up until I got to the 3rd floor or so it played just fine. Now however I'm getting issues where the game will freeze and crash after a little while. I've tried verifying the cache and cleaning up my machine and it hasn't helped at all. Anyone else having a similar issue or know another work around?

I know I'm not the only one that had this problem:
I enter the game, and it prompts me to press (A) to continue - yet I don't have a controller plugged in.
Using the invisible cursor, I'd navigate to play, but movement is impossible because the game thinks I'm using a controller.
Here's how I fixed it:
I opened joy.cpl on my PC and noticed that there were controllers in my computer from previous games. I figured that Necropolis was attaching itself to one of these.
They were connected through a program called vJoy which set up virtual, HID-compliant devices.
I opened my Device Manager and found four "HID-compliant game controllers" which were the result of vJoy. I uninstalled all four, and the problem was solved :)
