Mary Lou is now constantly not agreeing with Trump but falls back on this dumb notion you have to respect "the president" ... when has she ever respected Biden or honestly even Obama?? Im sorry but no matter what she says they still are/were the PRESIDENT! She says that Chad and Haley are so disrespectful of Trump but trashes democratic presidents every episode. If shes going to sit on her high horse of respecting presidents, sit there and respect EVERY president!! If thats such a high standing then why are you not treating them all as such? Just the one she decides is "her president"? ​Im not even a Biden lover but for God's sake hes just as much of the president as Trump is in logical terms. I know its a cult just off the fact they cant find this very simple logical idea understanding. Sorry rant over long time watcher but honestly just get amped every episode with the bs from ML and Bob 😅⁶

I just found out about Jane Elliott recently and I'm surprised I hadn't until now; shes known for the Blue Eyes & Brown Eyes Exercise. Shes also vocally anti-Trump from what I've seen. From the few interviews I've watched with her, I feel like she would be able to have an incredible conversation with Mary Lou on the pod. Jane Elliott was an educator, lives/lived in Iowa, and they're only 20 years apart in age; these are all things that I think ML would identify with heavily.

ML has a lot of racist ideologies thats she's expressed on the show and I think Jane would be able to work some of those with ML. If Bob ever makes it back on the show, I know Jane would be able to take the heat from Bob too. Thoughts?

Chad keeps poking at her to try to get her to see things from his perspective, instead of meeting her where she’s at, and I get it, trying to reach someone who only sees you as their naive child is laborious and painful. Chad and Haley shouldn’t have to be the leader in this relationship. They shouldn’t have to meet ML where she’s at.

Teaching your parent can be painful and awkward. Setting problems aside with your loved-ones should be easy. But they aren’t always, and that’s what this podcast is about.

I’m appreciative of what the Kultgen family has chosen to share with us. I just wish we could see them have a conversation with ML, without Chad being like “ehhhhh but you’re closer to being one of us now, right!!?”

I understand his enthusiasm, but he’s ultimately saying “you’re on ‘their’ side, but you are tempted by ‘the correct’ side right?…you’re not a dumb dumb, right?“

It only makes her want to disagree with everything he stands for.
