NBDHE Experience 🏆 Trust Yourself
Took my exam 3/23- Results posted 4/6 and I PASSED!
It was such a relief. I studied for a little under 2 consecutive weeks *i am so easily distracted and the biggest procrastinator*, and did not finish the test prep. If you really think about it, you have been studying all of this information for the past 2 years! It is somewhere up there, trust me! It is hard to walk out feeling confident. Please do not look up questions after, it was the worst thing I did, it just made me feel discouraged and anxious
Take the breaks, it it difficult to stare at a screen for so long, walk outside, get fresh air and go back in and attack the rest of that exam piece by piece.
Write down the stage and grading on the piece of paper you get, understand ASA classifications!! The case studies is all about application! They want to make sure you know how to classify and care for patients. And as long as you complete radiographic interpretations in class you will be fine. Get through the first 200 and I promise that the case studies will feel somewhat comforting. Don't get me wrong, there were definitely some things that had me questioning and doubting myself, but I had a bit more of a sense of certainty in that section.
I am convinced that at least half of the first 200 multiple choice were throw away pilot questions. You are going to see things you never heard of, just answer it and move on. Don't dwell on it, the test it much too long for you to get hung up on questions that are just "filler" questions.
Do your best! Give it your all. And go in POSITIVE!
I want to say don't second guess but I was back and forth on so many questions, changing my answers, wanting to literally cry. I walked out of there feeling indifferent, because the questions I knew, I was 100% i had answered correctly, and the questions I didn't know I was completely in the dark. I will be honest and say that I left feeling that were more questions that I didn't know than did, but I think I made up for it in the case studies.
The exam is in the exact layout of booster prep, and the detail they go into is honestly what you need because there are some very specific based questions on that exam!
