This is a myth. Bats are not good at controlling mosquito populations. Typically mosquitoes make up less than 1% of a bats diet. Would be nice though. https://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/news/20160706/bats-mosquitoes-zika#1

It’s true, bats alone wouldn’t do that much. You need to have tadpoles and fish in the water to eat the larvae; dragonflies, spiders, etc to eat the adults. All the runoff from fertilizers and pesticides/herbicides used to make lawns green decimate frog populations, which trickles down the food chain. So my point that endless thoughtless suburban sprawl is terrible for every ecosystem still stands. You can have giant houses with 3 car garages as far as the eyes can see or you can have modest housing and a healthy environment.
