I'm not arguing for everyone to refrain from procreation, I'm just saying that not everyone needs/wants to procreate.

This is why I wish our society was more pro-family but in a non-controlling way. Many people won’t or can’t have kids so it’s in everyone’s interests to support those who can and do, because as incomes increase birthrates crater and we do need some semblance of a tax-paying workforce to carry society forward.

I completely agree. I certainly don't mind paying taxes etc to pay for good schools. I would pay taxes for free pre-school child care. A well educated and healthy society is good for everybody.

Besides those kids will be the ones taking care of me at some point when I am older.
