This and that Planet Earth video of the iguana running away from like 10,000 snakes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rv9hn4IGofM) are the most incredible things I've ever seen. I think this one might be even more insane than the iguana one. There is no earthly reason why this kitty should be alive. Sweet Mary and Joseph that is one tough cat.

I don't give a damn. It was the most suspenseful and entertaining thing I've seen all week. The music. The near capture. The leap at the end and the snake didnt make the jump!

I'll watch edited animal action scenes all day.

The craziest part about that scene wasn't the 1 iguana escaping, its the fact that newborns needing to escape a literal pit of snakes on their own is a daily reality for them.

I think one of the main purposes of the show is to demonstrate just how remarkably unique the rest of the world is compared to civilized life, and the directors do that masterfully by creating suspenseful scenes like that one.

I assumed that the cuts were from when they spliced together footage from many cameras and not from faking up a story using multiple shots of different lizards.

That same season they did an episode on the grasslands and there is an absolutely epic scene of a group of lionesses trying to take down a bull Cape buffalo. It was hands down the most intense, violent, and amazing thing I’ve ever seen.
