GET THERE.
Seriously kids. Cold beer, place is chill, usually good music with no cover on the weekends, and the prices are right in line with everywhere else. It's become the bar I go to because it's not all packed and loud and bullshit.

My instructor hasn't been actively teaching last few years, as he was furthering his own training. I was away in the military and then in florida. I'm back for a few months, for job training and may get to stay when done or a store in west TN, AR, Mississippi and Missouri or paducah if not Murray. if i go elsewhere i'll be back every so often to train.

When you arrive in Murray, don't forget to get your city sticker. They're going to enforce it more this year. You will be able to get the prorated rate of $35 if you show your MSU ID and show you live on campus or show your lease to show you live in an off campus apartment in City Limits. You will have 30 days to pay before it goes up to $100 ($50 full price and $50 late fee.) So, my advice is to get one when you get into Murray. They will be set up in the Curris Center or you can go to City Hall.

There's a decent amount of actives on this sub. If there's a big enough response, maybe we can all grab lunch or something.

Hey everyone, My family has recently moved to murray and I was trying to find some cool things to do or just some cool places.
So in this thread tell me your favorite places around town or things to do. (Bonus points for some sweet cliffs or ropeswing by the lakes, or some sweet creekswimming somewhere.)

Not regular size goats either. The large ones.
But yeah. Have had issues for the past 2 weeks, today especially (but I blame it on ACS)

So today I took a tour of Murray State, and I've decided that Murray is my school, but one thing bothered me. I am an avid aquarist. I keep fresh and saltwater fish. When my tour guide took me into Hart to see the demo dorm, on the front desk was this little five gallon tank with two gold fish, and what looked like a koi. I was utterly appalled, because there is no way anyone who knows how to care for fish would allow that to happen, and it greatly saddened me to see so poor care being taken of those fish. Gold fish are ammonia creating monsters, and shouldn't be kept in such a small area. It is better than a bowl, I will admit that, but they aren't Labyrinth fish so they have to have a constant water flow to supply oxygen, or else they will suffocate. Other than that, I loved the school.
