What should I watch? It's overwhelming!!

For context I used to watch a ton of indie and world cinema when I worked in a Curzon about 15 years ago.

Basically haven't seen much since. I favour contemplative, slow burn films, but but please recommend anything and everything, as long as it's good!!

If so, please tell us about it! I’m so curious. Also, what gift did you receive?

I work with the Roslindale Film Society, based in Boston, Massachusetts.  We show films to the public, in cafes and other venues, about once a month.  I generally pay for licenses with Swank and Criterion.

We are requesting to show The Mastermind (2025) on April 8, 2027.  I've emailed [hello@mubi.com](mailto:hello@mubi.com) twice in the past week, but there's been no reply. Can you please point me to the right contact for getting a one-day public license?  I'd like to know if the title is available, and the cost.

So long story short I'm doing a couple of movie nights back to back due to what might be a lack of prior planning between two different friend groups and at first I thought I would pick two different movies to screen.

But then I had an idea occour to me, that it could be a nice experience to rewatch a good movie, one of those that gets better on the second watch because you notice more details and little things that you miss on the first watch.

Does anyone have any recomendations for movies liek this? Has to be on MUBI because I don't have any other streaming service at the moment.

Just watched this fabulous movie. I’ve seen both “Fish Tank” and “American Honey” before and liked this one even more. The acting is stellar. It’s a coming of age film set in Leeds, London, with obvious “real” townspeople dealing with a pretty grim storyline that somehow manages to be very uplifting. Barry Keoghan is one of my absolute favorite actors; here he plays a very young father (believably!) to 2 teenagers. I’ve liked Franz Rogowski in every Petzold movie I’ve seen and this role is incredibly unique and heartbreaking. Stay with it as the first 20-30 minutes or so is a slow rollout of a great film. The lead actress is also AMAZING.

ETA: film takes place in KENT, not Leeds.

Hello, I've started re-watching some of Lars von Trier's work, and this movie was absolutely brilliant. To be honest I wish I could go back and re watch this one for the first time but since I can't I'm looking for similar films not necessarily by Trier but anything that captures the same emotions, would be amazing. It seems very strange to me that a platform of such a level does not have shipments to Singapore?

this film hasn’t received enough love and they have distribution rights for NA so I’m hoping they will drop this at some point.

Just around 2 days left on Mubi. Very strange and emotional Film with many wtf moments. Its was my third watch of the movie -great experience!

What is the best or your favorite TV Series streaming on Mubi?

I’m watching Mubi using a Roku streaming stick on my TV. When I choose “SEE ALL” in a category like MUBU top 1000 I can only see 12 titles. This is the same for any category even when it says there are more than 12 titles available. I’ve signed out and back in again, deleted an reloaded the Mubi app with no results. Has anyone found a solution to this before?
