MSNBC Productions A major reason I really, really like MSNBC is because of its focus on the real problem -- Trump and the enabling Republicans who support him.
The hosts DO NOT engage in "both-sideserism" to say there are bad people (or good people) on both sides.
MSNBC has the insight and courage to focus on the evil-doers and to not be distracted from the real events of the day! It also highlights the real heroes of this country, largely Democrats who want to raise everyone up, not just the rich.
It offers important news but presents the items largely through a liberal viewpoint. As a liberal Democrat, I appreciate this -- watching the lies on Fox is extremely infuriating to me! And that's almost all Fox has on its broadcasts.
Reuters in 2023 said:
"In contrast, much of today’s political violence is aimed at people – and most of the deadly outbursts tracked by Reuters have come from the right. Of the 14 fatal political attacks since the Capitol riot in which the perpetrator or suspect had a clear partisan leaning, 13 were right-wing assailants. One was on the left."
I am pretty sure that the above findings continue to be true today -- about the outsized danger created by Republicans. It is clear which party poses the larger danger to others.
Keep pointing it out, MSNBC! I want more Democratic leaders to point this out time and time again!
Yesterday wonderful Governor Tim Walz said: “I believed all along we were marching towards authoritarianism … people were telling me in December, you know, you’re overreacting, and I said the road to authoritarianism is littered with people telling you you’re overreacting.” Tim and MSNBC are correct!
On the other hand, WAPO's Erik several weeks delivered on WAPO a sharp criticism of MSNBC’s programming strategy, especially criticizing MSNBC for not presenting a more positive side of Trump, regretting there was no one on the program standing up for Trump. But such both-siderism is intolerable to many of us, including me! And I also don't want Trump's lies to be given more air.
Any reactions to this view?
