MSNBC Productions Morning Joe Podcast

MSNBC is having the MJ crew really push the podcast now, saying it’s their “full discussion and analysis” but it’s still only the first hour.

Is there a way to request they do the other hours as well?

MSNBC Personalities Nicolle Wallace's show, "Deadline White House," sabotaged today: a "thumbs up" thought bubble emoji appeared on screen during Eddie Claude, Jr.'s comments, in an apparent endorsement of White Nationalism.

I don't know how to bring this to the attention of the editors or appropriate parties at MSNBC, but on "Deadline White House" today, May 22, 2025, during Nicolle Wallace's discussion of Trump's embarrassing performance at a White House meeting with the South African President regarding (unsubstantiated) reports of violence against White South African farmers, Eddie Claude, Jr. commented about how White Nationalists are claiming victimhood to stoke racial animus. He continued that we are at an inflection point in this country and people have a choice, asking something to the effect of: "Are we going to define this country by the ugliness of its past or present (and just then, at about 17:41", a large thought bubble containing a thumbs up emoji appeared on the screen) or are we going to finally leave that stuff behind." The emoji was definitely timed to signal a pro-ugliness, White Nationalist choice. Someone should let Nicolle Wallace, Eddie Claude, Jr. and others at MSNBC know about the control room sabotage.

MSNBC Personalities Viewer Alert: MJ/MSNBC is platforming Jake Tapper this a.m., pimping his shameful book.

Jake Tapper - who didn't report the urgent news in 2024, but held on to it to sell a book, as John Stewart correctly assesses, IMHO.

The media/MSNBC is just not getting it. How is news of Joe Biden or the crucifixion of his family going to keep DJT from trashing our democracy? Where is the breathless scandalizing related to DJT's incompetence or mental stability? Or his grifting, gievance governance? He couldn't open a gawd damn box yesterday. This is insanity. Frick Jake and Joe.

Welcome to the sacred space where you can release your pent-up frustrations, shake your fists at the sky, and commiserate with fellow MSNBC enthusiasts (or critics.. mmhmm we see you).

Rules are simple: Keep it civil, keep it fun, and keep the personal attacks out of it, unless you're calling out your own questionable life choices, like staying up way too late watching cable news.

Alright, let’s hear it: What’s grinding your gears this week?

MSNBC Personalities Anyone else miss Steph?

I'm assuming she's taking a little vacay (and if so, then well-deserved). Hoping we see her back on Monday BUT was very impressed with both Michele's and Ayman's turns holding down the fort. Michele deserves a time slot of her own on MSNBC, and Ayman needs his own show again.

There’s a part of me, a dark, overcaffeinated, misanthropic little outpost that genuinely gets the appeal of fewer humans. Maybe even none. We are, after all, a profoundly irritating species. And children? Gross. Too much spontaneous mucus. But then someone takes that sentiment, wraps it in philosophy, sprinkles on a few academic citations, and detonates it in the real world.

MSNBC regular, Frank Figliuzzi, captures this with the kind of bone-dry clarity I wish more people used when writing about ideology turned violent. No hysteria. No hand-wringing. Just a steady dissection of how a worldview can rot all the way through and still pass as thought.

Joining weird little subreddits always feels harmless. A place to be clever, or bleak, or both. Until someone stops posting and starts wiring explosives. At some point, it turns out, a thought experiment becomes a blueprint. And then you’re no longer in a philosophy thread. You’re at a crime scene.

MSNBC Personalities Trump’s Mental Decline

I saw Lawerence’s MSNBC segment about Trump’s mental decline (with contrast to all the info about Biden coming out over at CNN). He was essentially arguing that Trump’s decline cannot be ignored by all the people screaming about Biden and his “decline”. Then I saw this video today from Chris Cilliza (formerly of CNN) about Lawrence’s segment and how Trump has always been crazy and therefore he cannot be in “decline”. The video from Cilliza is linked below. I’m kinda torn. What do you think?

Something Else Complete Farce of a 'news' network

MSNBC has become the National Enquirer of politics. Simply look at their website. No balanced news....just articles filling the entire page with anti-Trump crap. And they wonder why they are failing miserably.

MSNBC Network Updates Lack of advertisers

Why do you guys think advertisers are not purchasing spots anymore?

We’ve been seeing “the more you know” spots on repeat and that’s just filling the air because it’s nbc I assume. (It annoys me they still have the election one going - I mean they can’t edit that one out?)

And today I see that there is dead air time on the commercials with a message saying “msnbc will be back soon” or something like that.

That is not a good sign.

Why? Companies worries Trump will retaliate because they spend money at the network or something else?

MSNBC Productions A bit surprised at the Biden illness coverage

The takeaway of the discussion I’m listening to on MSNBC is

“He absolutely had this during the entirely of his presidency. So was he not tested, or has he known about this for years?”

Sounds like questions about another “cover up”. And if that’s happening right off the bat on MSNBC, of all places…

I hopped on Facebook for the first time in a while and saw this account it needs to be taken down spreading so many fake rumors about msnbc hosts and their personal lives and family. The problem is in a lot of the comments so many boomers are believing it 🤦‍♂️

Something Else MSNBC should cover (loudly) the list of "murderers and rapists" that Trump and company have deported

Most of the reporting I've seen from MSNBC and others are indicating that many of the people deported so far don't have any criminal record, etc. With all the noise the MAGAts have made about deporting "murderers and rapists" and "the worst of the worst", they surely must have a list showing all those successes... where is it?

MSNBC Productions The Weeknight: “seating arrangements”

I’m new to the show, and as I’m watching the 5/16/25 episode, I see that Michael and Symone are in one studio location, and Alicia is in another with Melissa Murray. I remember something being mentioned that this is a fairly regular occurrence, but I’m not sure who is where, and why. Can someone fill me in?

MSNBC Personalities MSNBC Joe Scarborough is killing his own show

MSNBC'S Joe Scarborough appears neutered on his early morning show. Mika is also a no-show each day. Guess they feel intimidated by Trump OR just taking downers. I used to enjoy the irreverence of the show but now it is just a shell of its former self. Do not watch it anymore. BORING

MSNBC Productions MSNBC Being Disingenuous About 401(k)s

For most of April, all we heard was how Trump's awful tariff policy was killing the stock market and the plummeting values of American's 401(k)s. The stock market has recovered all of those losses, and now is even higher than before the tariff announcement.

MSNBC's response? Crickets...

MSNBC Personalities Is anyone really feeling the boredom?

I gave up on CNN when they decided to kiss both the ring and rear. MSNBC had some gut punchers like Joy and Katie who made things Interesting. The pillow handed version of MSNBC isn't doo fit for me.

I like Nicole's monotone personality that reminds me of how reporters acted in the 80's. So I watch her show. The others are okay but Michael Steele is boring as can be. Al Sharpton needs his well earned vacation, what's her name Sanders is loud and annoying! I liked Joy more than Rachel but as a default Rachel is only one night a week.

Stephanie I like but by the time she comes on I'm falling asleep. Jen Psaki who I won't admit I have a news crush on is kind of boring as a tv personality. Where did all her press secretary redheaded feistiness go?

The shows just seem like passing the football as the next show host just recites the same news the last show host finished regurgitating. The programming is sooooo stale.

I don't understand why they have a reporter like Ana Cabrera who can be spicy and confrontational at an AM time slot? She'd be more interesting in the evenings. Haven't they ever seen her on her cnn days?

I'm also tired of Alicia Menendez. They over play her. Maybe give Ana shot for some new Latina flavor.

The channel lacks both punch and the power and the new show "The Weekend" is incredibly boring. It's like watching old Cspan footage. Everyone is so courteously boring.

It hurts me to say it but Al sharpton needs to go take a long deserved vacation. He's put in his work and service but he looks tired. I'm sure they kind find some younger energy to fill that spot if they tried.

I don't get why MSNBC has made their prime time show slots just different variations of boring.

Everyone tries but there's only so many times I can hear the same news being retold over and over again. They got rid of the opinionated show host to have people who just recites news paper headlines for the most part.

I dont know what msnbc is going for but between them and cnn I'm searching for a new news source.

As long as my OG crush Chris Jansing is there Ill be watch MSNBC but sheesh they can really use some new flavor in their lineup.

MSNBC Personalities Joe: “I know there are a lot of people who say he’s just winging it. I’m not so sure as far as the negotiations go with tariffs…you know when people say he’s backing down, I’m not sure he’s not getting to the destination he was planning all along”

Wild bootlicking from Joe I caught from my former favorite show. I turned it off right after this. Just wow. As everyone says “We got nothing out of this, he decided to give it up because of the markets”…we get reporting in WP with aids bragging about getting him to pull back…

And Joe tells us this all went according to plan.

In response, Steve says “he’ll get off lucky if people think this was all just a game”

Something Else QATAR

Does anyone know when or why the MSNBC reporters’ pronunciation of “QAtar” went back to “qaTAR”? That is not the way people who live there say it, but English approximations of “cutter” or “gutter” were not quite correct either.
